Recently, a good friend of mine, Bri Goldberg, approached me with an exciting project: photographing Christian McCaffrey for Dymatize protein supplements. The shoot was in collaboration with directors Matt Hoffman and Monika Felice Smith, and the ad agency Barkley OKRP.

As soon as I heard about the project, I texted my brother, who's a huge sports fan, to see if he knew who Christian McCaffrey was. His baffled reply was, "Are you joking? Of course I do!" He was thrilled for me.

I love working on commercial shoots, especially with athletes. There's something exhilarating about capturing their performance up close. I often have to pinch myself, knowing that so many people, like my brother, would be over the moon just to meet Christian, let alone spend the day photographing him.
