Hear Me Out

I absolutely loved this project! I haven't done a test shoot with only one model in maybe five years - most of my tests are with groups, which is always difficult to coordinate. I met Becca on a SanDisk job where she was technically an extra, so I couldn't photograph her face. I've been wanting to shoot with her ever since. When I thought of shooting a series around headphones, I knew exactly whose face I wanted to capture.

We spent the day exploring downtown Los Angeles, hitting up locations I've known for years - a few of them old skate spots I used to shoot. Sticking with the skate theme, we got kicked out of a handful of spots. At a couple, we were asked to leave before I even got my camera out. It's funny to keep getting kicked out of places, even now.
